Congrats 12U Girls!

What an exciting season it has been for this group of athletes! The U12 girls team has taken their competition to the next level this season. Not only have they been successful at winning games, but more importantly, they have come together as a team, supporting and pushing each other to do the best they can.Their hard work at practice has paid off, with a record of 15-1-2, including a championship title at the North East United Soccer Cup in Maplewood. The team took first place in their pool within the blue division.With such a successful season, the players and coach have decided to try their luck at the Minnesota State Soccer Tournament in July. They will compete in the St. Cloud area, representing our Red Wing soccer community with pride and honor. The team has even received two generous business sponsors to fund their way to State. Thank you to StarTech Computing and an anonymous local company, for supporting local youth and their quest for a state title. This trip would not have been possible without the help of these sponsors and the support of the Red Wing Soccer Club Board!Head coach, Mike Engeldinger, has been a great team leader this season, offering positivity and valuing teamwork; along with improving skills and footwork. He contributes this season’s success to the commitment of the players, their hard work at practice and at games, and all the support from their families throughout the season.Best of luck to this great group of players!
